I will be there

Verse 1

The night was still so dark

When she came running from the crowds

And the earth could laugh no more

It was silent as she came

And as she came up to

She was trying to catch her breath

And as she looked inside

She saw the linen  on the ground

Chorus:

I will be there when they say he'd never find a way

To deny and rise from the grave

Blind

Verse 1
E
Just as the sun still shines
A                                         E                                A
Though it hides behind the wall of the darkest night
E                                   A                                                 E
You can't see it's light though it's right in front of your eyes
                 F*m
You're so blind

Verse 2
E
Just as the earth still turns
A                       E                  A
One more hour away each day
E                                     A                            E
So you turn your hearts from his love and grace
                 F*m    A
You're so blind

Chorus:
                E
He is the sun in the darkness
A                               F*m
The truth among the lies
A                    B
Look into His eyes!
                E
He is the rain in the stormy cloud
A                         F*m
To wash my sin away
A                B          E
And I can see again!

Heaven let your light shine down

Verse 1
A
Look into the eyes of a homeless child

Looking for a loving kiss goodnight

Hands reach out into the night
       E                          D                       A
Oh heaven! Let your light shine down!

Verse 2

You see her in the street she's always there

She got no more but a Bible in her hand

She says: "Thank you Lord for the things I have!"

Oh heaven! Let your light shine down!

Chorus:
Bm                                            D                                                         A
But all you care to think about is the man in the mirror, is he doing alright?
Bm                                             D                                                         A
But all you care to think about is the man in the mirror, is he doing alright?

Verse 3

Will you hide your face when you walk towards

Pretend not to hear his hungry call

Turn your face to the wall

Oh heaven! Let your light shine down!

Chorus:

But all you care to think about is the man in the mirror, is he doing alright?

But all you care to think about is the man in the mirror, is he doing alright?

Little child

Little Child

I wrote this song not long after I became a Christian at 18yrs old. It was actually about a guy that was my manager in a bar I worked in. He would mock me for being a Christian, and though he had a really tough exterior I felt like inside he was like a little child who just needed to know Gods love!

Verse 1

G                                          G/B     G/C
Young man thinks he's found a way
G                                               G.B                   G/C
To numb the pain he found so..so many yesterdays
G                                        G/B    G/C          G             G/B     G/C
But if we look beneath the lies....

Verse 2

G                                                G/B    G/C
Tearing down the things he left behind
G                                              G/B              G/C
Trying to find his shining sun in an evening sky
G                                                  G/B       G/C
But should we look beneath the lies
G                                                           G/B              G/C
We know too well we know too well...there's a child inside

Chorus:
G                 D/F*
And can you see
Am                           G/B   G/C      D
He's the picture of a one man family
                                        C                  G            G/B    G/C
Looking for love where love cannot be

Verse 3

G                                            G/B     G/C
Looking behind he knows so well
G                                               G/B          G/C
The fondest memories are the hardest to kill
G                                                G/B        G/C
And should we look beneath the lies..
            G                                                 G/B           G/C
We know too well, we know too well...there's a child inside

Chorus:
G                  D/F*
And can you see
Am                           G/B   G/C       D
He's the picture of a one man family
                                         C
Looking for love where love cannot be
G            D/F*        Am        G/B    G/C     D
But he's thinking of a life that wouldn't be
                                          C           G
Through the eyes of this little child

               A                E           D
There's no greater love you laid down your life
       F*m            E                   D
Oh Lord let the love reign in me
         A
For You
